Borba, Vinho Regional, Alentejo, Portugal

Blend:

36% Aragonês, 25% Touriga Nacional, 19 % Cabernet Sauvignon, 14% Alicante Bouschet e 6% Petit Verdot, 15% Alc. Vol.

Winemaking:

Hand harvested from yield reduced vineyards. Grapes are hand sorted on conveyor belts. Fermented in steel tanks. Matured for 24 months in 25% new and 75% used french oak barrels. No fining, unfiltered.

Tasting Notes:

A classic red with intensity and fine structure. It displays plenty of dark fruit, opulent scents of roses and violets, dried orange peel, hints of smoke. Creamy and dense, fine grained tannins, beautiful balance, with soft texture, refined and cool, and long-lasting fruit taste in the final.

Service and Pairing:

Drink with 13 – 15°C, goes well with meat dishes, risottos, grilled tuna or alone. Drink from 2021 on to 2030. Store below 15°C.
