Tasting notes:

2014 was a very typical and regular and a bit cooler wine year for Quinta do Zambujeiro. The best lots of old vines delivered this beautiful essence. It has deep black fruit scents, combined with violets and truffles. It is still young and quite robust in tannins, but balanced by the typical creamy mouth-feel and sweet fruit extract. A good acidity keeps this full bodied wine fresh. Zambujeiro has always an almost never-ending aftertaste. It benefits from decanting some hours before serving and opens up beautifully. If stored below 15°C, the Zambujeiro will improve over the next 15 years and gain complexity and finesse.
